Dr. Ang Cui
BCA 2026 Young Investigator Grantee
Dr. Cui is an Assistant Professor and directs a computational-experimental hybrid research laboratory in Systems Immunology at Brigham and Women's Hospital, a world-class academic medical center in Boston. She earned her PhD through the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Program and the Broad Institute in 2021. Recognized for her groundbreaking work at the intersection of immunology and big data, Dr. Cui has been named one of MIT Technology Review's 35 Innovators Under 35 and has received the International Cytokine & Interferon Society Regeneron New Investigator Award, the Karin Grunebaum Foundation Faculty Fellowship, and the Cancer Research Institute Technology Impact Award.
With support from Breast Cancer Alliance, Dr. Cui is investigating how the body's immune signaling molecules, called cytokines, influence responses to immunotherapy. By better understanding these complex cellular interactions, her research aims to develop new ways to predict which patients will benefit from immunotherapy and identify strategies to make these treatments more effective for people with breast cancer.
